The Midgard Congress Politicians on Wrong Drugs Session 1: Introduction to the Midgard Congress I. The Congressmen There are ten seats in the Midgard Congress, occupied by server representatives. Those people, of course, are the main players of the congress. Their job is to voice out the concerns of their server. By voicing out, we mean stuff from literally screaming directly into the microphone to throwing the microphone, some tables and plastic plants. Occasionally, our congressmen try to pass laws. Note the word 'try.' That's because most of the time (read: always), they are redirected to the Office of Costumer Service, where they are given tickets. Tickets are wonderful things. They tell you that "pissing the law" is an entirely different thing and commonly mistaken as "passing a law." II. The Security Guards There are more security personnel deployed in the Midgard Congress than there in the city jail. That's because the Midgard Congress can be more violent than all the zoos in the whole wide world joined together. You will see lions eating parrots, and parrots trying to eat lions. These security personnel are powerful creatures. They can bar you from talking for a given time: from seven days to forever. But just like any other employee, their job can get tedious, and when that happens, any moving spectator should get out of the way. Because they can strap you into a time machine bound to 1941 traveling at approx. 20 years per second. III. The Leader of the House Well, that's the king. We don't see him most of the time, because he likes to hang around in other places while eating cheeseburgers for publicity. So basically, that leaves the poor security guards handling the most horrible situations, and the congressmen discussing the same issue over and over and over again. And again. IV. The Stenographer That's my job. It's not really a boring occupation, as you can see, as long as you are working in the Midgard Congress, things can get really exciting. Session 1.2: (Still) An Introduction to the Midgard Congress
V. The (Bloody) Issues What is a house without issues to resolve? Issues that are discussed (and killed for) are, importantly, current events. Public letters from troll warlords are also open for discussion. When there are no letters left, they use newspapers. Where else can you get fresh, current, and hot issues? That's right: The Dailies. The house agreed that everyday, each congressman should carry with them a recent newspaper, not more than a week old. After a hundred sessions, the house finally realized and resolved that dirty tabloids with Aubrey or Ara Mina front covers are nothing but source of off-topic (OT) discussions, flaming, and unnecessary toilet breaks. These materials are not advised, however, they are still good time-killers when they're done discussing stuff. Or when 70% of all the people in the house have already been reprimanded or jailed while the other 30% are red with warning signs. Back to newspapers. The first issue to be discussed is chosen by means of voting. The house is governed democratically. So they would make a list of available topics and by raising their right hand, a vote is cast. Majority wins. To avoid extra-judicial clan killing and house burning, voting are subjected to not less than ten recounts to ensure the win. (That means you have to raise your right hand ten times for a vote-- left hand is not counted). Now that the first issue is at hand, more likely from the horoscope section, the congressmen are ready to go for a hot, (steamy), blazing, and sometimes violent argument. Let me present to you the compilation of the hottest issues discussed... In THE MIDGARD CONGRESS. Oh wait. There will be handfulls of bad language, bad humour, and bad people. Not for the young, the pregnant, the drunk (not really), the weak-hearted, and the weak-minded. You have been warned, and by reading beyond this point, you are no longer my liability.
