5 Rune of Darkness (dropped by: Frus and Skogul - Odin Shrine lv 2 & 3)


1. Check the Recruitment Notice in (hugel 91, 154).

*Board the Airship in Juno and take the Domestic Flight to go to Hugel.


2. Go to the house located at (hugel 52, 90) and look for either Alex (left room, hu_in01 19, 160) or Laura (right room, hu_in01 14, 11) and tell them about the recruitment notice.

*Doesn't matter which one you choose. Both NPCs will ask you to do the same thing anyway.


3. Alex or Laura path.


3A. Alex Path

3A.1 After talking to Alex, she will ask you to look around the shrine first before accepting the job

3A.2 Look for the Boatman NPC at (hugel 209, 109) and he will take you to the shrine for 800z.

*NOTE: You don't really have to "look around" per se. As long as you set foot on the shrine, you can now go back to Alex and she will give you your next task.

3A.3 Go back to Alex and say yes if asked about helping with their expedition. She will then ask you to collect 5 Rune of Darkness.

NOTE: Rune of Darkness can be obtained from Skogul and Frus in Odin Shrine levels 2 and 3. Skogul and Frus are demon-race, shadow property monsters with more than 80k HP so get your buckler from hell and evil or undead armors ready.

*I didn't die from Frus and Skoguls.. but I died from that Valkyrie in the screenie... it was a surprised attack and I didn't get a chance to teleport right away!! >_< BTW, the area is teleport-enabled and you'll get a -1% exp when you die so be careful.

3A.4 Return to Alex and bring her back the 5 Rune of Darkness. She will give you an Old Blue Box for completing the job.


3B. Laura Path
3B.1 After talking to Laura, she will ask you to visit the Odin Shrine.

3B.2 Look for the Boatman NPC at (hugel 209, 109) and he will take you to the shrine for 800z. *NOTE: You don't really have to "look around" per se. As long as you set foot on the shrine, you can now go back to Laura and she will give you your nest task.

3B.3 Go back to Laura she will ask you to collect 5 Rune of Darkness. *See NOTE after 3A.3

3B.4 Return to Laura after collecting 5 Rune of Darkness and she will give you 1 Old Blue Box for completing the task.


4. After finishing either path, talk to Laura and she will ask you to spy on Alex. (And you have no other choice but to agree. Choose any of the 4 options presented to you. You'll still do the spying anyway.)

5. Spy on Alex by listening at the door (portal) of her office room. Shinokas, Ymir's Heart and Giantes will appear on Alex and Julian's conversation.

6. Go back to Laura and report what you've found out. Choose either Giantes or Ymir's Heart. When the time you will speak about Ymir's Heart, Ashe, Laura's assistant will interrupt you. When asked what is Ymir's Heart, choose one of the 4 options presented to you (doesn't matter whether tell Laura that Ymir's heart is a candy, a book, a place or Ymir was a giant.). Afterwards, Ashe will say that Ymir's Heart is clothing brand popular amongst the trendy crowd in Juno. Afterwards, Laura will ask you to go to the inner shrine of the Odin Temple.


7. Go to Odin Temple level 3 and look for one of the following hidden portals:

*Skeggiolds, Frus, Skoguls and the Valkyrie MVP roam in this area...
*You only need to visit ONE of them until it warps you to a hidden location.


8. The area here is some sort of an underground shrine. Walk down the path and you will find some ruins. Walk around until a dialogue box in blue text pops up. Choose Explore in the option menu. Walk around again until another pop up text will say "You catch a bright shimmer among the remnants of the shrine." Choose Pick It Up and you will be LoV'ed. After regaining consciousness, you'll find that there is nothing left in the shrine.

9. Walk back to the top and you will be warped back to odin_tem03.


10. Proceed to the Odin Shrine Excavation HQ and talk to either Alex or Laura only to find them arguing. Ashe will try to stop them but she got dismissed. Ashe will then give you the file Laura tossed away during her argument against Alex and she will ask you to deliver this file to her comrade in Morroc.

11. Proceed to the map south of Morroc (moc_fild12 161, 365) to talk to the hidden NPC. After giving him the file, ask about Ashe or Laura. You'll find out that Ashe is actually a member of the Secret Wing organization to fight Rekenber Corp.

12. Go back to the Odin Shrine Excavation HQ only to find the place empty.

1 Geek Glasses (buy from Lighthalzen Department Store 3Flr)
1 Grampa Beard (buy from Lighthalzen Department Store 3Flr)

1. Talk to Shede at (hugel 70, 137) and choose Do you want me to help you? She will then ask you a favor to get some ingredients.

She'll ask you to gather one of the three items below:
- Essence of Mok mushrooms - (hu_fild06 168 359, hu_fild06 194 341, hu_fild06 198 339)

*Collect as many as you can until your character say "this will do.." or something along that line. Return to Shede afterwards.


2. After giving Shede the necessary items, she will ask you to visit Mr. Herico, an old man staying at Hugel inn.


3. Enter the Hugel inn at (hugel 101, 82) and look for Mr. Herico at the second floor. Choose Yes, you are right during the conversation. Talk again to Herico and he will ask you to investigate the airship and the island. *Refer to the 4 pre-requisite quests*

4. After finishing the pre-requisite quests, talk again to Herico and you will tell him about what you've seen and heard from the Odin's Shrine such as Ymir's Heart, Giantes and Rekenber. Talk again to Herico and he will tell you his story - the Guardians, the Rebellion, Sage Barmundt, Rekenber. Afterwards, he will ask you to find one news reporter in Lighthalzen who can still remember about the rebellion and to see if there's any survivors.

5. Go inside the house at (lighthalzen 50, 86) and look for Enquro Carson (lhz_in03 39 44). Ask him about the Mercenary Rebellion. Carson would not release the information about the rebellion survivor unless you bring him the drinks from the Private Pub in Morroc (Assassin Private Pub).

6. Go inside the Private Pub (pay 1,000 zenny to Jack if player has no Letter of Recommendation from the Dandelion's Request) and look for the Bar Master. Buy 1 Tropical Sograt and 1 Vermillion on the Beach. Return to Carson afterwards.

7. Give Carson the said drinks and he will tell you about Wintzil Trony, the last mercenary of the rebellion who now lives in Hugel.


8. Return to Hugel and go inside the house at (hugel 153, 216).

Talk to the Girl and she will tell you that she is Wintzil Trony. After she gave you the permission to search the bookshelf, go upstairs and search the shelf at (hu_in01 317, 312). Choose Read the small book and go through pages 1-9 of the journal. Somewhere in page 6, there is a folded note. Choose Check the note before going to the next page.

9. Return to Herico after you finish reading the journal. Choose Rekenber has taken them into their possession when asked about the documents. He will also reveal that he was a former researcher from the Regenschirm Lab under Sage Barmundt, reconstructing an immitation of Ymir's Heart. Talk again to Herico and he will talk about destroying the laboratory. Choose Yes, I will when asked to join about the desctruction of Regenschirm Laboratory. He will then ask you to steal a document from the lab.


10. Enter the Rekenber Corporation building and proceed to the hallway on the left until you see the NPC guarding the portal. Equip your Geek Glasses and Grampa Beard and talk to the Rekenber Guard NPC to gain access to the portal.

11. Go to the farthest room and check A pile of paper on top of the desk. After getting the File Folder, 2 Removers will spawn. Kill them and bring the file folder to Herico.

12. After analyzing the data, Herico will ask you to purchase some Marine Sphere Bottles (or Mine Bottle) from the Marine Sphere Bottle Manufacturer in Einbech and explode the bio experiment equipment in Biolabs lv 2.

NOTE: Skip the step 13 if you already have a mine bottle, brewed or regular.

13. Go to Einbech and look for the Marine Sphere Bottle Manufacturer Boomer in (einbech 208, 124) and purchase a Mine Bottle for 3,000 zenny.

14. Head on to Biolabs lv 2 and look for the Component Converting Machine at (lhz_dun02 244 226). Throw the Mine Bottle in the machine to destroy it.

15. Report back to Herico and he will tell you that he will exchange something if you bring him a certain amount of handcuffs. He will also ask if there is someone who can aid them in the destruction of Rekenber. Key in Karl or President in the text prompt. You will receive again the File Folder to be given to the President.


16. Proceed to Juno and visit the president's office (yuno 157, 322). Talk to secretary Hes O'Neil and she will direct you to the president.

17. Talk to the President and he will reaffirm his commitment in the destruction of Rekenber after you told him what you've done in Biolabs 2. You'll give him the File Folder and he will tell you that he will reorganize the Secret Wing. He'll give you an Old Violet Box as a sign of gratitude.

I disagree.... Lighthalzen quests are way too easy, compared to Noghaltz and Hugel Quests. Sa Lighthalzen quests, pwede ka pa mag-solo... sa Noghaltz and Hugel quests, yung mga major quests di ka pwede solo mode kasi ang lakas ng mobs or dahil may restrictions (Dandelion's Quest, Thanatos Tower Quest, Kiel Hyre Quest, Odin Temple Excavation, Hugel Mercenary Rebellion).

here i go again... after bieng stucked in kiehl hyre i found the same thing here in odin temple excavation... damn i've wasted about 3m for AB to no avail again...

Anyway as I've said, random yung warp dyan. And since you said na you managed to locate the 1st, 3rd and 4th, it means na sa 2nd and 5th yung hidden warp... and ganyan talaga dyan mahirap kasi ang daming mumu sa lv 3. Inabot din ako ng mga 20-30 minutes dyan bago ko natyambahan (2nd warp yung aken). Sa akin walang problema yung mga Frus and Skoguls basta pa isa-isa or dalawa lang kasi kaya ng ME HP ko. Ang problem ko dyan yung mga skeggiolds since miss ang holy light ko dyan.... at boss type pa... not to mention that valkyrie is also there.

And while you're there, ipunin mo na yung mga Rune of Darkness na napulot mo. Wag mo itapon.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
