The Reason Why Your Account Was Banned, Details Inside Options

Ok the account that was banned and finally unbanned was actually Rogene from ro-B.O.T. (Best Of Tuguegarao) guild Iris/Freya Server and I gotta tell you guys after reading this even the most diehard LUG supporters are gonna convert. Oh and to people who wish to comment please read the ENTIRE post before you reply. First a little back story:

On June 14 the same day novices were first dropping MVP cards in Prontera the account was banned. It was maybe 4 or 5 minutes after the siege and we were at the east Prontera kafra where it was lagging like heck and timegapping every few seconds. After 2 timegaps Rogene's account was banned until 2012 for no apparent reason. Oh and we didn't loot any of the MVP cards btw as it was too laggy and the account was banned before it could go the MID prontera where most of the MVP cards were.

After filing a ticket the CustCare people replied that "your account has been involved in an incident that has gravely violated game integrity of pRO". I called their support hotline on tuesday (June 18th) and I was thankully transferred to someone from pRO game operations named "Janice". She told me the account was banned because of DUPED ITEMS! I told her to check the account and she said that as far as she could tell there weren't any duped items. She did see the 2 GTB guards in kafra storage a +9 and a +10 but I explained that the +9 was owned by one of the ro-b.o.t. GMs and it was there for safekeeping. Besides I thought Waukeen said that each item has a "unique serial #"? Can't they check all the serial numbers in storage and see if there really are duped items? After everything she said she told me the account still can't be unbanned because the person who banned it was OFF today and won't be in until THURSDAY (June 21st)! Apparently because of the rollback the duped items she was looking for "may" have been erased. She told me that the GM/Vanguard that banned the account may have the evidence.

The next day the account owner has had enough and decided to call LONG DISTANCE. He was able to speak with Janice but was told basically the same thing I was told. Finally on Thursday (today) he again called LONG DISTANCE and was able to talk to an ACE. This time after checking his account ACE said that ALL of his EQUIPS has "TRACES" of duped items. "TRACES"? What the hell does that mean? It's either a DUPED item or it's NOT! First he asked why the account has a +9GRFormal Suit, +10 HL Boots, +10 Cranial Buckler, and a +10 Immune mant2. Those equips (except the Formal Suit) were upgraded by Rogene's own BS on a different account (if you're an IRISIAN you'd know how insanely lucky his BS is...well was...it's crap now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) a long time ago prolly around the time JUNO came out. Next he asked why he has a MEGINJARD when he's not a GM. Jesus H. Christ. That's that entire basis of his argument? You're not a Guild Master so you can't have a God Item so it must be a dupe! We have screenshots and probably the entire IRIS WOE community as witnesses when the item was created because there was a siege going on! We had miscalculated and released the 3rd and last seal 2 or 3 days before siege day without a guild or an agit so we had to create it during WOE! ACE then asked why there are ingredients to another god item (I won't say which item (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) when...drumroll...HE IS NOT A GM! Did LUG leave out COMMON SENSE as a requirement when they hire people?!? I mean COME ON! But this is the real kicker folks...after finding not one shred of evidence of DUPING or DUPED items he was finally going to UNBAN the account BUT...HE WILL PERFORM AN ITEM WIPE! They ban an account for no reason, accuse you of having "TRACES" of duped items, and when they don't find anything wrong they just WIPE YOUR ITEMS! Wow! Jeez. But thankfully he was able to convince ACE to unban the account without the item wipe BUT his account is still "under investigation" whatever that means.

What a week huh? Until now we still have no idea why the account was banned in the first place. If the account was suspected of duping items then CHECK THE TRADE LOGS! CHECK THE SERIAL NUMBERS! DO YOUR JOBS! Don't ban accounts just because they're not a GM and have boss equips! Hell if the "anti-dupe" script is the real deal then check the account again after the 24th and see if there were any duped equips!

I hope this thread isn't deleted (if it does check the proiris boards I'll post there as well) and I hope that na...uh...guy Goenitz doesn't ban me.

Well, the item wipe will only apply to dupe items. He will perform it just to be sure na wala talagang Dupe items uh...

personal experience ko sa lahat ng klaseng customer service mahirap talaga sila kausap. mapa pldt, meralco, dsl etc etc. karamihan diyan meron common sense pero ang problema kasi meron sila script na kailangan sundin at ang desisyon nila madalas base sa guidelines na binibgay sa kanila sa training. ang mahirap diyan kung faulty yung guidelines nila.

regarding the meginjard sana meron siya screenshots kung kailan nagawa ito. di ata credible sa pag file sa customer care ang witnesses (i could be wrong).

regarding the +9 & +10 guards. hindi tamang basis yan para sabihin ng customer service na dupe. so what kung 10 pa +10 gtb guards niya hindi naman kasi dami ng items ang pinag-uusapan kundi authenticity ng serial number nito

i guess having "traces" of duped items in his account means that his items are involved in dupe cases. either bumili siya ng duped items or meron humiram ng items niya tapos dinupe.

Masyado na yatang paranoid ang LU. Basta may +10Gr armor ka at expensive equip, kahit binili mo or hunt mo fair and square iba-ban ka aprin. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

And having a godly item even though your not a GM is not a good reason to ban someone. There is a feature in RO called TRADING.

I've been trying to look for the post or comment from Waukeen's blog about how timegaps were used to detect either duped items or dupers but I can't seem to find it. I'd like to know how the timegap thing works because that was exactly how the account was banned and I think it was an AUTOBAN. Meaning the system must've detected you were doing something illegal. A Vanguard couldn't have manually banned the account because like I said during that time novices were having an boss card piñata party till almost 2am.

Unbanned the yung account when I made this thread. Sabi na nga read the entire post before replying eh (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) ;

Kung tinabe yung dupe or orig he can check serial numbers or the trade logs. Read this quote from the announcement:

"we will look into your trade, inventory, and kafra logs. If we find enough evidence that shows you exploited the bug yourselves, then please be warned that we will not hesitate to sanction your account with a permanent ban."

That means if they checked the logs then they'd know if the bug was exploited by the account. My point is ACE didn't bother to do any of that. He just checked the equips, saw very powerful items and immediately concluded that they were dupes just because the character wasn't that well-known or famous OR a GM.

That explains. pero i wonder if there's this "serial number" thingy on our items. or they say it's a unique name na pinagbabasehan ng mga duped items (ex. you have mJo™'s Sword then i duped it tpos naging dalawa) what if dalawa tlga ung nagawa nung char without dupe? Nahihirapan ako ma gets kung pano nila natatrace duped items. is it only by looking at your account? @__@

I think LU support peeps lacked the training needed to REALLY support the players (product knowledge-wise). And to think the company has established themselves for over years...

Er. Renamed na po yung file instead na screenIRISXXX.jpg ginawa lang themejin.jpg. If you want more proof we could ask the moderators to move the IRIS GODLY SEALS STATUS thread to the FREYA section because someone posted when the item was created way back in 2006.

Understatement of this thread. The CS people were totally unprofessional, and will only damage the company in the long tern.

What the LUG employee did is enough grounds to terminate his employment from the company, if LUG does follow proper company policies like other companies do.

Conclusion: I really don't think that the we should blame fervently on the employees themselves, perhaps that is what they were just told to do -- e.g. look into suspicious looking accounts and ban them... yes it is pretty much dictator in nature yet try to look on the other side of the coin... It's because of the process, the management and the sole core of LUG that told them to do such stupidity...

Lastly, we are also about to be blame as an entire community, since we also failed ourselves to act as one due to those selfish acts others do...
